Following his sold out concert in 2006, Ara Gevorgyan will be returning to Sydney in 2017 as part of his “Remember” Tour, in what will be an evening of splendid music and dance.
The event will feature over 100 entertainers on stage, consisting of Ara’s 14-piece traditional ensemble from Armenia, the 44-piece Ryde Hunters Hill Symphony Orchestra, local dance groups and guest soloists from various countries.
Recognised as one of Armenia’s finest composers, Ara is a pioneer of Armenian music, presenting his works by fusing folk and classical melodies with modern rhythms and sounds. Tagged as the Aram Khatchatourian of the 21st century, he has worked with high profile artists of different nationalities, composing unforgettable pieces such as Adana which has been sung in 14 different languages around the world. Ara’s work has been widely accepted and enjoyed throughout the world and his music is used by all Armenian dance groups globally, including the Armenian State Dance Ensemble.
